Premier League Season 24/25 Final Day! Predictions, Stats & Insights.

The Premier League season of 2024/25 will come to a close on Sunday as all 20 teams will play at 16.00PM UK time.

League Champions Liverpool will lift the trophy at Anfield after thier final game v FA Cup winners Crystal Palace they will want to end the season with a win in front of their home fans allthough the result is irrelevent, Liverpool have not won in 3 games with 2L and 1D since being crowned champions.

Arsenal will finish in 2nd place while the remaining Champions League places are still not fully decided.

Manchester City despite a poor season compared to thier usual very high standards sit 3rd on 68 points and a win away to Fulham would ensure they finish 3rd, while Newcastle 4th, Chelsea 5th and Aston Villa 6th all on 66 points will know that whoever slips up here could miss out on a Champions League place.

Nottingham Forest come next in 7th having been in the top 3 for long periods of the season look like they could have blown it, however they can salvage it by beating Chelsea.

Bournemouth Vs Leicester

Pre-Match Summary

The Cherrys have enjoyed a good season in all but will be slightly disapointed to miss out on Europe after being in the running earlier in the season, they have won 1 in the last 5 with 2L and 2D and will hope to end the season well with a win v relegated Foxes who have W2 and D1 in the last 3 games.

Statistical Insight:

Fulham Vs Manchester City

Pre-Match Summary

Fulham currently 10th can finish no higher than 9th with a win here, but it is City who all to play for and will be wanting no mistakes as they aim to secure Champions League football. Realistcally a point is all that is needed but they will not be taking any chances and will be out for 3 points.

Statistical Insight:

Ipswich Vs West Ham United

Pre-Match Summary

A poor season for both teams and West Ham will be looking for much better next season having survived a brief relegation scare, while Ipswich have to look ahead to a new season in the Championship and will want a quick return to the top flight.

Statistical Insight:

Liverpool Vs Crystal Palace

Pre-Match Summary

League winners against FA Cup winners, these two teams will open next season as they will meet in the Community shield, but it will be Liverpool who have the incentive here to win on the final day in front of thier home fans as they prepare to lift the trophy and begin the celebrations.

Statistical Insight:

Manchester United Vs Aston Villa

Pre-Match Summary

United’s season has been disapointing to say the least, this was followed with furth misery for Amorims side as they lost midweek to Spurs in the Europa League final. Aston Villa come here looking to secure Champions League football and they know anything but a win could result in them missing out.

Statistical Insight:

Newcastle United Vs Everton

Pre-Match Summary

Everton said an emotional farewell to their home Goodison Park last weekend with a 2-0 win, but it is Newcastle who will be looking for a win here to secure Champions League football next season. Both teams come into this with similar form having both won 2, lost 2 and drew 1 in both of their last 5 games.

Statistical Insight:

Nottingham Forest Vs Chelsea

Pre-Match Summary

This is a key match for both teams and its a must win for both. Forest in 7th on 65 points and Chelsea in 5th place on 66 points know that whoever wins this will qualify and the loser will miss out if some other results go against them. It is set up to be a great game.

Statistical Insight:

Southampton Vs Arsenal

Pre-Match Summary

Southampton may welcome the end of the season as its been one long hard tough season week after week, just avoiding the lowest points tally ever recorded by 1. While Arsenal will also have there disapoitments and know things could have been different as they look set to finish 2nd to Liverpool.

Statistical Insight:

Tottenham Hotspur Vs Brighton

Pre-Match Summary

Spurs come into this final game as Europa League winners having won 1-0 midweek in the final v Manchest United, domestically though it has been poor for Spurs sitting just 1 place above the bottom 3. Brightons hopes of European football are over and 8th place is as good as it will get for the Seagulls.

Statistical Insight:

Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs Brentford

Pre-Match Summary

After going on a remarkable winning streak of 6 games Wolves have now lost the last 3, while Brentford have won 4 of the last 5 losing just one of them narrowly to Fulham 3-2. An interesting end of season game and both will want to end the season on a positive.
