SEVILLA v REAL BETIS: BETTING PREDICTION

Sevilla v Real Betis: Free football tips

La Liga returns with a huge Seville derby tonight, as third-placed Sevilla host rivals Real Betis in the Spanish top flight.

It has been a full 93 days since a ball was last kicked in La Liga, and the break would have been welcomed by a Real Betis side that have won just once in 13 away games this season.

In contrast, Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos would have been frustrated with the pause in play. The Argentinian forward has ten La Liga goals this season – five more than any of his team mates – and if he finds the net tonight, he will be the first Sevilla player to score in five consecutive La Liga matches since Alvaro Negredo did so in 2011.

Whilst Sevilla may be in control of their own destiny when it comes to their UEFA Champions League qualification ambitions, they are currently just one point ahead of Real Sociedad and Getafe in the standings, with Atletico Madrid and Valencia also less than five points away from third place.

Real Betis find themselves in a mid-table wilderness, but they’ll need no extra motivation than winning the city bragging rights for their absent fans this evening. With four defeats in their last five visits to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, they face an uphill task.

With just three away goals in five La Liga trips in 2020, Real Betis will need to improve when they face their rivals tonight, but with the likes of Nabil Fekir, William Carvalho, Cristian Tello and the evergreen Joaquin in their ranks, they’re more than capable of turning on the style, as demonstrated when they beat Real Madrid in their most recent La Liga match.

BET OF THE DAY

With 13 goals in the last two Seville Derbies that Sevilla have hosted, and both teams to score landing in five of the last six meetings between these two sides, it seems a foregone conclusion that we’ll see goals tonight.
