MAN CITY vs ARSENAL

The two best teams in England at the moment square off with only one team advancing to the fifth round of the FA Cup. Arsenal will need to stop Erling Haaland and reverse their poor form at the Etihad Stadium if they are to stop Manchester City on Friday

Haaland netted his fourth hat-trick of the Premier League against Wolves on the weekend to take his season tally to 25. The win meant City play this cup fixture just five points behind the Gunners.

BET ON THE FA CUP

The away side will start in confidence after a 3-2 win over United last week. But will they be able to stop City’s nine game winning run in home ties in this cup?

The Citizens have bagged at least three goals in all nine of those cup home victories and haven’t lost at home to Arsenal in five games.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are enjoying a current seven-game unbeaten run (W6, D1) heading to Manchester. The Gunners did lose their most recent FA Cup fourth round clash against a PL opponent, which was a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in 2020/21.

While all eyes are on Haaland, don’t forget about Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian winger has contributed seven goals across his last five FA Cup appearances for City (G6, A1) and could build on that as he’s had a hand in goals in five of his last six competitive H2Hs with Arsenal.
