Liverpool is set to square it out with Fulham on Wednesday, January 10 for a ticket to the 2023/2024 English Football League (EFL) Cup final.

The crunch semi-final clash which will take place at the Anfield Stadium comes just days after Liverpool advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup where the Jurgen Klopp led team hammered Arsenal 2-0 on Sunday to keep their hopes of winning multiple trophies this season alive.

Luiz Diaz’s top notch finish at the dying moments of the encounter which was played at the Emirates Stadium and an own goal from Jakub Kiwior were enough to help the Reds bundle Arsenal out of the competition.

Similar to Liverpool, Fulham also proceeded to the fourth round of the FA Cup after squeezing themselves past championship club Rotherham United with a 1-0 score line.

The goal came courtesy of Bobby Armani Decordova-Reid, who unleashed a ferocious shot from the edge of the 18 yard box in the 24th minute.

On Wednesday, the Cottagers will be seeking to secure a third win in a row when they visit a Liverpool side that is crumbling with injuries.

Liverpool vs Fulham Prediction

Fulham are currently enjoying a good form having beaten Arsenal and Rotherham United in their last two games and will be heading to Anfield seeking to build on that run.

However, although Liverpool have had a short resting period compared to the visitors, they have a high chance of overcoming Fulham due to the caliber of players they have at their disposal.

Therefore, football fans should expect an entertaining match with several goals just like the seven-goal thriller witnessed when the two sides locked horns in December.
