Liverpool left it late last weekend and a Darwin Nunez stoppage time double seen the reds snatch all three points and remain top of the Premier League.
Nunez who was brought on as a second half substitue found the net twice in the 91st & 93rd minute to give Liverpool a 0-2 away win making this their fifteenth win of the season.
Liverpool now on fifty points are six clear with a game in hand over the chasing pack including their closest rivals Arsenal who blew a 2-0 lead at home to Aston Villa, who made the game 2-2 to earn a point.
Third in the league is Nottingham Forest who went into an early 3-0 lead over bottom club Southampton who did get two goals back but Forest held on for a 3-2 win to stay level on points with second place Arsenal.
Chelsea had a comfortable 3-1 home win over Wolves, and Manchester City cruised to a 6-0 away win at Ipswich.
Meanwhile Newcastle’s superb winning streak came to a crashing end as Bournemouth won 4-1 at St James’s Park, the Cherrys now move into seventh place just one point behind Newcastle in sixth.
There was a much welcomed win for Everton new boss David Moyes as they held on to a 3-2 win over Spurs, leaving manager Ange Postecolou in the spotlight for a potential sacking and Fulham were 2-0 winners away to Leicester making this a seventh straight defeat for the foxes.
Brighton were 3-1 winners away to Manchester United making this three seasons in a row they have won at Old Trafford and Crystal Palace had a very good away win over West Ham leapfrogging both West Ham and Manchester United in the process.

Bournemouth Vs Nottingham Forest
Pre-Match Summary
Both of these teams are enjoying incredible seasons so far and Forest currently third must be pinching themselves, but have proved it is not a flash in the pan and continue to look the real deal with superb performances and results. Bournemouth also in excellent form extended their unbeaten run to ten games (6W, 4D) with a 4-1 victory away to Newcastle last week and will want to continue that back at home today.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Not easy to predict a winner in this, both teams enjoying excellent runs and this really could go either way. Perhaps a Draw?
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Both teams have scored at least twice in four of their last five games, this has potential to be Over 2.5 goals.
- Both Teams to Score: Yes, the last five H2Hs have all seen both teams score.

Pre-Match Summary
Everton who put in probably their best performance of the season last week at home to Spurs with a 3-2 win come here having not lost away to Brighton in the last 4 seasons (W2,D2) and new boss David Moyes will be hoping that continues, while Brighton are now unbeaten in six games allthough four of them was draws, they have won the last two to Ipswich and Man Utd both however were away from home.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Brighton head into this as favourites but have only won once at home in the last six, and a revitilised Everton with a new manager will feel they can get a result here. Possible Draw.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Could be a tight game on the cards here, however both teams scored three goals each in there last matches so it is possible we may see Over 2.5 goals.
- Both Teams to Score: Five of the last six H2Hs have been both teams to score and we may well see that trend continue today.
Pre-Match Summary
Liverpool left it very late last weekend but better late than never as they say and the wins keep on coming for Arne Slots’s men as they welcome struggling Ipswich to Anfield who have just one win in the last six games (4L and 1D) including last time out which was a 6-0 hammering at home to Manchester City. A tough afternoon could be in store for the tractor boys as Liverpool will be all out to extend there grip on top spot.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Liverpool are heavy favourites and its easy to see why, can not see anything other than a Home win.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Liverpool the leagues top scorers up against a vulnerable defence could result in a goal fest. Over 2.5 goals is likely.
- Both Teams to Score: No, Ipswich may find this a tough match and could struggle to create much in terms of goal scoring chances.
Pre-Match Summary
The writting is on the wall for Saints and they are heading for a very unwanted record of the lowest ever points tally by any team in the premier league as they have lost eighteen of there twenty two games so far. Nerwcastle on the other hand had won nine straight games in all competitions until last weeks 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth and will be looking to get back to winning ways today.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Newcastle had an off day last week but will be hoping thats all it was as they visit the South Coast, Away win seems a likely outcome.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Only Wolves have a worse defensive record than Saints in terms of goals conceded, and with Newcastles front line particularly Alexander Isak in fine form this may well be Over 2.5 goals.
- Both Teams to Score: Possible, Saints scored three at home in there last game v lower league opposition in the FA Cup and may take some confidence from that.
Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs Arsenal
Pre-Match Summary
Wolves who had looked as though things were turning for them with two back to back wins over Leicester and Man Utd have since then drawn one and lost the last three which leaves them only out of the bottom three on goal difference. Arsenal come here after a draw at home to Aston Villa last week 2-2 after being 2-0 and will be kicking themselves for not seeing it through. Arteta will be sure to tighten up and not make the same mistake here.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Wolves do seem to have some fight in them but defensivly are really poor and this is where the problem lies. Away win
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Wolves have the worst record in the league for goals conceded (51 in just 22 games, if Arsenal turn it on it could be Over 2.5 goals.
- Both Teams to Score: Yes, conceding goals is a real problem for Wolves but they are not to bad in terms of scoring goals especially if they can keep their top scorer Matheus Cunha from leaving.
Pre-Match Summary
Both these teams may feel the title is well out of reach now as they Chelsea sit fourth ten points behind the leaders and City fifth two points behind todays opponents, however a top four spot will now be the priority for these two as they go head to head in Satudays evening kick off. City after there uncharachteristic poor run now seem to have steadied the ship and Chelsea likewise after they also had a bit of a mid season blip.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Tough game to predict but it is worth noting that Chelsea have not beaten City since the 2021 Champions league Final, they have met ten times competitivley since then with City winning eight of them. Home win may be the pick.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Historically when these teams meet it can be a tight affair but both teams come into this in good scoring form and both defences have been vulnerable this season so Over 2.5 goals has a good chance.
- Both Teams to Score: Yes, both teams have really dangerous attacking players and come up against defences that are not particularly solid.

Pre-Match Summary
Palace have strung together some good results recently and have clawed there was out of a potential relegation battle and now sit in twelfth place, just one position and one point behaind todays visitors Brentford. The Bees will be crestfallen after holding Liverpool to what they thought was a solid 0-0 draw upto 90 minutes, before Liverpool scored twice in stoppage time to snatch the points.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Palace have picked up some form in recent weeks and Brentford have won only once away all season that was to bottom club Southampton. Home win is preferable.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Could be a tight game and may not be a whole lot of goal scoring opportunities, Under 2.5 goals may be a better option.
- Both Teams to Score: Possible, all five of the last H2H’s have seen both sides find the net.
Tottenham Hotspur Vs Leicester
Pre-Match Summary
Spurs season has been really poor on the whole and now have dropped to fifteenth in the league just eight points ahead of the drop zone, there has been speculation over manager Ange Postecoglou’s future and a win seems a must in this game. Leicester manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy also finds himself in the spotlight after only two months in charge but seven straight defeats can not go unnoticed and this is another difficult away match.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Allthough Spurs have had a poor season this game looks within reach and the Foxes form coming here does not read well. Strong chance for a Home win.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Spurs are second in the league for games involving Over 2.5 goals with (16 of 22). A good chance that stat will increase.
- Both Teams to Score: Possible, Leicester do create chances and have capable attcking options, the last six H2Hs also have seen both teams score.
Aston Villa Vs West Ham United
Pre-Match Summary
The claret and blue derby, sees these two teams meet for the third time this season after being drawn in the FA Cup earlier this month. Villa came out on top in both games by the same scoreline 2-1 and now at home will fancy themselves for the hatrick as they have not lost at home since the first home game of the season v Arsenal (0-2). West Ham now under new manager Graham Potter will be looking to put a stop to Villa’s unbeaten home record but they have a tough assignment.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Villa have beaten West Ham twice already this season and the home form suggests this could turn to three times. West Hams away form also points in the direction of a Home win.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: A fixture that generally does produce goals and with the two previous meeting this season ending 2-1 it looks likely Over 2.5 goals could happen once more.
- Both Teams to Score: Ten of the last twelve H2Hs have all been both teams to score, will we see that yet again today?
Pre-Match Summary
Fulham currently tenth saw off Leicester with a 2-0 away win last week to earn there first win in four after losing to West Ham 3-2 the previous week and two draws prior to that. They host Manchester United today who are not having the best of seasons and manager Ruben Amorim is finding life difficult here. Just one win in the last six league games against Southampton with one draw and four defeats is not good reading for United.
Statistical Insight:
- Home Win/Away Win/Draw: Fulham will fancy this at home allthough they have only beaten Untied once in the last twenty H2Hs. Away win or Draw.
- Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Four out of the last five fixtures for each of these teams has been Over 2.5 goals.
- Both Teams to Score: Yes, recent results and also the historical H2H stats would suggest this will see goals both ends.
