TUESDAY TREAT WITH EPL BANGER AS CHELSEA HOST LIVERPOOL. PREDICTION

The English Premier League has an enticing Tuesday night fixture as wounded sides Chelsea and Liverpool go at it at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are coming off a demoralizing 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa, leaving them in 11th place with 38 points.
The loss was the final straw for Graham Potter as he departed the club hours later, after only seven months in charge of the Blues.
Bruno Saltor will temporarily take charge while the desperate search for a respectable successor gets underway.
Liverpool on the other hand suffered a thumping 4-1 demolition at the hands of Manchester City and are in 8th place with 42 points.
The reverse fixture at Anfield in January ended in a barren draw but both sides are desperate to get a morale-boosting win here.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last four away games against Chelsea in the EPL and have never secured a streak of five such matches.
The last five matches played between these two teams have ended in draws – Liverpool have never played six consecutive draws against a single opponent in the top flight.
Will this game end in yet another draw or can either side get the upper hand and record a victory on the night?
What time does Chelsea vs Liverpool start?
The game kicks off at 21:00pm CET at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea vs Liverpool team news
With a caretaker manager in charge now, a few changes in personnel are expected from the home team, with Reece James returning to his usual right wing back position.
Kalidou Koulibaly will continue to partner with Wesley Fofana in the heart of defense.
Mason Mount is fit again and may get a place in the starting XI ahead of new signing Mykhalio Mudryk who has failed to impress in his Chelsea career so far. Ngolo Kante who came off the bench against Villa and could also make the starting lineup.
Joao Felix will continue to lead the attacking line alongside Kai Havertz who has scored four of his last five club goals at home.
Liverpool have a whole host of attacking options to call upon and partner Mohammed Salah including Darwin Nunez, Coady Gakpo, Roberto Firmino as well as Diogo Jota. Incidentally Liverpool have never lost a match in which the Portuguese star has scored a goal.
The rest of the side is not expected to change from their last outing at City.
Chelsea vs Liverpool head to head
Liverpool have a good historical record against Chelsea and have won 84 out of the 193 matches played between the two teams, as opposed to Chelsea’s 65 victories.
With the previous 5 head to heads ending all square, only once in the 5 previous meetings has there been over 2 goals scored, that was back in January 2022 when the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Chelsea vs Liverpool current form
The Blues have won three games, lost one and drawn another in their recent run of five matches whilst Liverpool have lost three consecutive games coming into this one.
Chelsea vs Liverpool prediction
Despite both teams being on a poor run of form, this could be another tight affair with not many goals and we may well see yet another draw between these two. However, Liverpool perhaps have a slight edge in this one and could take advantage of what is effectively a managerless Chelsea, they will be looking to win this and take the 3 points back to Anfield.
