IS IT TOO LATE FOR CHELSEA IN REAL MADRID UCL QUARTERFINAL SECOND LEG? PREDICTION

Wounded Chelsea turn their focus to their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

It is looking like a tough uphill task for the Blues who lost the first leg 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeau a week ago.

Karim Benzema and Marcos Asensio were on target to gift Madrid the victory against 10-man Chelsea who saw Ben Chilwell sent off.

This will be the second time in three years that these teams have battled it out in the knockout stages, with Chelsea knocking them out in 2021.

Chelsea’s new interim manager Frank Lampard has now managed 3 games since taking over and has lost all of them.

The Blues have now advanced from five of their last seven Champions League ties in which they have lost the first leg away from home.

Though this seems as though it will be a different outing as they have failed to win 4 of the last games they have played at Stamford Bridge.

From their 19 UCL knockout ties in which they have won the first leg by at least two clear goals, Madrid have progressed from 18 of them.

Los Blancos are confident of progressing to the semis of the competition as they seek a record-extending 15th European title.
